The Villainous Daughter does not Dance with the Dragon - Chapter 2.1
The maiden game, Rose Garden, took place in a kingdom called Cardina.
The kingdom, whose name meant “rich land,” is made up of a rich center, a mountainous north, and a southern part that is a mixture of flood and fertile land. And the borders in the southwest, which meet the foreign lands, are filled with desserts.
The game’s heroine, Her Majesty the Queen, was born as the almost sole heir to that kingdom.
The current dynasty was only a few decades old. Queen Francesca’s grandfather, who was a Frontier Count, was famous for his skill in breeding and protected the north from alien races. He took over the previous dynasty, abolished it, and gave birth to a princess as his first heir who would be directly in line to be the Empress.
This child was the former Queen, Beatrice.
Beatrice followed her father’s footsteps and took in a son-in-law from the old royal family, and Queen Francesca was born.
However, the relationship between the two families was so cold that it symbolized their marriage.
Therefore, the couple had only one child, the heroine.
Furthermore, since the first King of the present dynasty decreed that only those who had descended from the present dynasty would be allowed to succeed to the throne, the right of succession was deprived to those of the previous royal family.
However, the first generation was blessed with only Beatrice. There was also a bastard child, but it was born to a woman with such a low status, she could not even be called a concubine.
So there was only one legitimate heir to the throne in this country, Her Majesty the Queen. When her mother falls ill, she must take a man as her companion who will support her politically as well as privately.
It’s not just love or romance.
To use an analogy, the situation was like a girl’s version of Toyotomi Hideyori.
It’s like, “Who would you marry for the sake of the Toyotomi regime’s survival?”
The first generation was obviously full of Hideyoshi-like episodes. Maybe they were aware of that.
I was more of a history geek than a gamer in my past life, so I was always on the fence about it, thinking, “That’s what a well-established history game company does.”
If the meter swings too far in love, you’ll get scooped up and end up being taken advantage of by the old royal family. I’d have to choose my daily behavior patterns from political affairs, economics, love and so on.
And then there’s ‘me’.
Duke Kalish’s daughter, Remilia Karol Vaza. She is royalty, but she’s not from the current dynasty.
She is a direct descendant of the old royal family, the granddaughter of Mathews, the former royal prince who died prematurely. To the old regime, Remilia’s cousins were the legitimate royal family.
They will want to carry it as their flag.
Moreover, although Remilia’s character is harsh, she is a person of fairness and hard work.
She believes that the old system is wonderful, and she is dedicated to the restoration of power. She takes pride in being the daughter of the main family, and if the world is the world, I’m the queen! I have a strong feeling that, well, it’s a tough hit on the heroine.
Personally, I think you should become a vassal of Her Majesty and make use of your abilities for your country. I thought. It’s royalty, and the thought of being royalty was the only thing she seemed to be basing herself on, and I guess that’s not going to happen.
“Justice is upon us.” or something like that
“I’m going to set your false history straight.”
And there are quite a few great lines. It’s a habit of being a villain.
But even if the old royal family has legitimacy, they are not popular with the people.
After all, this was a family that had monopolized wealth for many years and was the cause of the country’s exhaustion through elections, debauchery and inaction.
As the Queen’s reign became more stable, their cronies left and were betrayed by their supporters. The territory was confiscated and the clan was displaced. And natural disasters started occurring in the territory. No luck, Remilia’s clan.
Remilia is also executed when it’s bad (the high official route), and when it’s the main CP route, she chooses to commit suicide, and even in the normal end, she’s stripped of her identity and disappears into the darkness, alone.
And why am I being reincarnated as such a thinly-veiled villain, I wonder…
On the canopied bed, counting the number of flowers painted above her head, “I”, Miss Remilia, age 10, was in agony.
Maybe it was from the shock of my fall, or maybe it was because the memories of my previous life didn’t enter my brain, but I went straight to bed with a high fever.
That day, the day I had gone out with my tutor, Miss Azell, and had been in an accident, it had been Singh, a boy of dragon blood, who had saved me.
This boy, with a background as complex as Remilia’s, is currently at the royal palace and is being fostered alongside the heroine, Her Majesty the Queen (or is it Her Royal Highness now?!).
Apparently he just happened to be flying with his chaperone, Vincent, in his dragon form.
(Dragons, though I’ve never seen them that close before! That was beautiful. Ugh, I’d love to ride in it.)
‘So you noticed the carriage bombing down the mountain road and helped me out.’
‘Ugh, you’re on the current dynasty’s side, how nice of you!’
The best person in the game, Shin-sama, carried me, the battered man, the unconscious man, and even the tutor to the mansion.
‘Aha, why did you let go of your consciousness, me?’
I wanted to see Shin’s eyes which had different colors on both sides. They are said to be like jewels up close.
“As far as my daughter’s life was concerned, she didn’t even thank her daughter for saving her life (I heard Azel talking to the attending physician in my dreams), and she didn’t care about my family, and she and Vincent were on their way home.”
“No matter how hostile we are, I am very sorry for the family’s lack of politeness, including mine.”
Aside from Shin-sama, who is a good person, Vincent might have been furious, I can imagine that. Vincent, the future high official, dislikes the people of the old royal family and considers them to be spiteful.
If Shin wasn’t at her side, he must have pretended not to see Remilia fall off the cliff.
Ah, but maybe that yesterday was the beginning of the main CP’s bad route, aka the “Remilia route”.
A horse was drugged and Remilia was assassinated.
Rescued by Shin, who happens to be passing by, and who also preaches to her, Remilia feels humiliated and slaps him on the cheek.
(You filthy orphan, don’t touch me!)
What an elective idea.
‘And what disrespect to the man who saved your life, Remilia.’
Shin laughed and forgave her, but I find it hard to forgive her.
But the fact is that Remilia has lost her heart to Shin because of that event.
He’s the only one who treats Remilia, a sad, beautiful, interracial girl like everyone else, like an equal and sometimes he was gentle with her.
Remilia was secretly flattered by him and tries to stop herself every time she does.
But the insensitive Shin was oblivious to her feelings, and he stepped into her heart easily. But the only person Shin loves is His Majesty.
Ah, that smile is so cute. I don’t like the Remial Arc, but I want to see that smile!
I tilted my head when I thought about it.
Remilia’s uncle, who was planning a rebellion, kidnapped Shin, who became the Queen’s fiancée, and drugged him temporarily.
Then, as the old royal family’s defeat was imminent, Remilia went to him in desperation. She lost her father and her husband on the same day. She was filled with despair and was ready to die.
‘You can’t force her to do this, no way.’
