Scum Male’s Whitewashing Manual - Chapter 74
Edited by: Makoto
Qi Jiayu was taken to the infirmary. With a thermometer under her armpit, the skinny girl sat on a chair and looked at her teacher anxiously.
After Wei Mingyan talked to the doctor, he turned his head and saw the little girl timidly staring at him.
Qi Jiayu was young and short, but she has bright facial features and a fair complexion. She was just as cute as a doll.
In addition, because she was so clever and shy, she was supposed to be the kind of child most loved by teachers, but she had the misfortune to get the scum who only cared about money.
Being bullied by classmates every day and afraid to tell her parents her situation, coupled with the teacher’s sporadic attacks, her academic performance had plummeted. Although the poor grades of young children weren’t trivial, they wouldn’t be taken too seriously either. However, in the eyes of the original owner, this was a good way to establish his own prestige.
This was his way of warning the other students.
Of course, he would never offend the few influential families’ children, but he specifically chose the ones who didn’t give him gifts or money, children who weren’t daring enough to do anything. He was the one responsible for their academic performance anyways, so even if they said anything to their elders at home, the original owner will usually pretend, and easily get through it.
He always wore a smiling face and looked warm and gentle. Even if the children cry, the adults would only think that they were being naughty.
After suffering several blows, Qi Jiayu had been faintly isolated in class. Even if she was bullied by her classmates, she pretended to be invisible and didn’t make a fuss over it. Gradually, it was only natural for her grades to decline.
This time, the original owner quarreled with Qi Jingshu, and he still picked at Qi Jiayu’s achievements as usual. He didn’t beat her or scold her, he just belittled her achievements to ash, in front of the whole class. The girl’s self-esteem was originally still quite tougher, but Qi Jiayu sobbed heavily as she was being told off, and the unwanted attention she received from her classmates around her felt as if scraping her body like a knife.
Then, after class, after being taunted by a couple of bullies consecutively, Qi Jiayu cried and cried and started to develop a fever. Although she was later noticed and taken to the infirmary, her reactions have been somewhat slower since then.
Because she was usually quiet, her police parents who were busy in and out every day also didn’t notice any difference in their daughter at all. Qi Jingshu’s matter had again been concealed by the original owner, and surprisingly, no one noticed.
Until she died in that little suitcase, no one knew that she had actually suffered so much in life.
Qi Jiayu didn’t know anything at this time. When she saw Wei Mingyan, she bowed her head in a panic.
Although Teacher Wei was always smiling and had never hit her, she was still afraid. Everyone said that Teacher Wei had a good temper and smiled every day, but Qi Jiayu would rather see him have a straight face like the teacher next door.
“Take your medicine and go back to bed in your dorm, you don’t have to go to class this afternoon. I’ll talk to the other classroom teachers.”
The handsome man took the previously poured water in his hand and felt the temperature of the water through the glass to make sure it wasn’t too hot before passing it to his student and handed over the medicine the doctor had provided him for her.
Qi Jiayu’s eyes were very clever. First, she quietly looked up at Wei Mingyan. Seeing that the teacher was writing her a leave of absence, he didn’t look at herself at all. She relaxed a little, carefully swallowed the medicine and took a mouthful of water skillfully.
When she was a child, she was always in poor health, and her parents were busy, so she learned to take medicine by herself when she was sick.
“Okay, let’s go. I’ll take you to the dormitory.”
Wei Mingyan wrote a leave of absence and stood up to pull the little girl’s hand, but Qi Jiayu instinctively huddled away in silence.
Qi Jiayu herself was stunned. She was a little afraid that Teacher Wei would get angry, but she saw that the man didn’t take it seriously and smiled. He put away her things and walked ahead, and stopped holding her hand.
Outside the dorm, Wei Mingyan had thought it would be okay to send Qi Jiayu until here only. But, he could see that the girl hung her head uneasily, secretly looking at him from time to time, and he guessed something in his heart.
“Come on, I’ll take you upstairs.”
Seeing that Teacher Wei was the first to walk ahead, Qi Jiayu had a little expectation and fear in her heart.
Pushing the door open, Wei Mingyan knew why Qi Jiayu hesitated before.
One of the beds was full of things. If it wasn’t for the sheets under it, he almost thought it was a bed board used for storing things.
Looking at the anger that appeared in Qi Jiayu’s eyes for a split second, that should be her bed.
“Jiayu, what’s going on? Who owns all the stuff on this bed?”
Apparently, Teacher Wei was also shocked. He even found a thermos on it, and most importantly, the sheets were still dripping wet.
If he didn’t find out, was Qi Jiayu going to sleep in this wet bed tonight?
Seeing the way Teacher Wei was taking things off the bed as he spoke, Qi Jiayu finally let out the grievances she had been suppressing in her heart. “Liu Momo always puts her own stuff on my bed. When I take them off, she puts them back again, and I couldn’t sleep well at night …”
After all, she was a child. When she talked, she couldn’t help but sob. After wiping her tears in aggravation, she heard the gentle, clear voice of a man in her ear asking in shock, “Why didn’t you tell Teacher earlier?”
“I… I told Teacher, you said they were just joking with me, but they did it on purpose. Every day, I couldn’t sleep well every night. They also splashed water on my quilt. I didn’t sleep last night …”
“They can be awfully nasty and will put things away during an inspection…”
“I told Teacher what happened, but Teacher didn’t believe it at all …”
The more she talked, the more frustrated she became. Qi Jiayu could hardly breathe from crying, she had gone to Teacher Wei when she was first bullied by the students in the dormitory, but Teacher Wei didn’t care about them and said it was nothing.
Her homework book was torn up before and Teacher Wei still said it was nothing, so why make her rewrite her homework… ?
Auntie lied, Teacher Wei wasn’t good at all, he’s not good at all!
“I’m sorry Jiayu.”
In the midst of being frustrated and angry at the thoughts, a warm hand fell on her head.
Qi Jiayu sobbed and looked up with red eyes, but she saw Teacher Wei crouching down. His beautiful eyebrows wrinkled, and his eyes were full of guilt. He touched her head once, and warmly apologized, “It’s Teacher’s fault. When you told me, I thought it was the students only playing around. If I had listened to you and came to your dormitory to take a look, I never would have let Liu Momo bully you like that.”
“Can Jiayu forgive Teacher?”
The little girl cried out, looking at the handsome teacher whose face was full of regret, and the thoughts that had just filled her head like disliking Teacher Wei, also seemed to disappear.
She sobbed and nodded her head, though she still felt very sad and wanted to cry.
“Thank you, Jiayu. You should go to my room to sleep for a while. I will definitely tell Liu Momo to apologize to you this time, okay?”
Qi Jiayu nodded timidly and followed Teacher Wei to his dormitory.
Looking at the small girl with her eyes closed, sobbing a little from time to time and shivering in frustration, Wei Mingyan rubbed his brow and called Qi Jingshu.
It didn’t take long for Qi Jingshu to arrive.
She has just graduated and was busy looking for a job everywhere recently, but when she heard that her niece was ill, she hurried over.
Qi Jingshu’s parents were both detectives. When they were killed by a criminal during a law enforcement operation, it was her older brother, who was fresh out of the police academy at the time, who took her in. He took it upon himself to make sure that Qi Jingshu did well in school.
Later, her brother and sister-in-law worked in Law Enforcement. The little niece was practically raised in Qi Jingshu’s care, and the relationship between the two was by no means bad.
When she met her boyfriend who only broke up yesterday, she couldn’t care about anything else. “Where’s Jiayu?”
“Just took her medication and is sleeping in my room.”
Wei Mingyan looked at the girl in front of him, who had a high ponytail and a clear face with natural features. Her clear, refined face showed a little bit of guilt.
“Jingshu, I want to talk to you about Jiayu.”
Qi Jingshu looked at him with a complicated expression, and went to the room to visit her niece before sitting on the sofa.
“Does Jiayu’s parents usually have enough time to take care of her?” Wei Mingyan didn’t explain to her what happened yesterday either, and just cut to the chase.
Seeing that he was really only talking about Qi Jiayu, Qi Jingshu nodded. “My brother and sister-in-law are usually very busy, or else, she wouldn’t have been sent to boarding school.”
Wei Mingyan nodded and pushed the examination paper in his hand. “You see, this is Jiayu’s examination result.”
Qi Jingshu took it and looked at the numbers listed. Her expression became conflicted. “She studied very well before.”
“Yes, that’s what I’m saying.” The man who was courting her yesterday had a serious expression on his face. “Jiayu’s previous grades were not top-notch, but they were good. However, this time, her grades dropped sharply, and she didn’t look up at all in class. After the examination paper was sent down this morning, her grades were bad, and she began to have a fever in the afternoon.”
“I have to apologize to you and Jiayu for that. If it wasn’t for me, she wouldn’t have been sick. “
Because of the results, and seeing Qi Jiayu sleeping sweetly in his bed, and Wei Mingyan’s serious and analyzing appearance, Qi Jingshu didn’t react too much to his said criticism of Qi Jiayu, but only frowned. She felt a little worried about her niece’s future.
“Now, what should I do?”
Wei Mingyan paused and said, “That’s not the point. I also found out that she has been bullied by her classmates.”
Qi Jingshu suddenly stood up. “Bullying?”
She had been bullied at school before, and only those who were involved before knew what it felt like.
“Don’t get too agitated yet.” Wei Mingyan pulled her down and looked firm. “It was my negligence before and I didn’t see it, but now that I found it, as a teacher, I will definitely stop it.”
Qi Jingshu looked at the serious look in his eyes, still a little uneasy.
Wei Mingyan comforted her, “I will take good care of Jiayu, both as a teacher and as an uncle.”
“Didn’t you say we broke up yesterday …?”
“Those were only angry words.”
Wei Mingyan interrupted her with his soft eyes. “Jingshu, I was wrong yesterday. Please forgive me. I will never disrespect you again.”
Qi Jingshu liked her boyfriend very much, but last night made her angry.
Were they only together to have sex?!
Actually, he broke up with her because she didn’t deliver, especially after how long they had known each other.
But Wei Mingyan apologized so seriously …
While hesitating, the handsome man in front of her seemed to have sensed her dilemma, his eyes lost, but his face showed a smile.
“It’s okay if you don’t believe it, it is my fault.”
“Let’s pretend we broke up yesterday, and from now on, I’m your pursuer, okay?”
Looking at his serious look, Qi Jingshu was really moved. She nodded slowly, agreeing to do so.
Wei Mingyan’s face broke into a delighted smile and gentle gaze.
He promised, “I will take good care of you and Jiayu.”
