Sephiria continued to pull Kein on his sleeve while giggling.
Finally, they arrived in the city of Hern.
“H-How far are we going?”
“Just follow me.”
Pulled by the Saint, Kein was brought to a church in the City.
“Oh, Kein and … and Saint Sephiria!”
Sister Sylvia was surprised that a Saint was visiting her in such a remote church.
“Sister Sylvia… We’ll take the farthest room of the church.”
Seeing the solemn expression of Saint Sephiria, Sylvia turned serious.
The innermost room of a church is a place of special significance to the clergy of the Odia Church.
“Is there something I can do for you, your eminence?”
Sylvia asked reverently while straightening her collar.
“There is not…”
”From now on, I will commence an oath ceremony, so don’t let others approach the room.
“Ehm, Sylvia-san. What’s this all about?”
Without answering Klein’s question, Sylvia bowed deeply.
And just like that, Klein was taken to the room at the back of the church.
A small room beyond a side corridor behind the chapel.
Small statues of various gods were enshrined in the temple, including the main god, Odia, the God of Light.
This place was the most sacred place in the Church of Odia, only used for special prayers.
Even Kein, who had spent his childhood in the church’s orphanage, had never been in here before.
He was deeply moved by finally finding out how it was inside.
“Kein-sama, you have saved my life.”
“Yes, due to you giving the Fruit of Resurrection to my comrade, the Sword Princess Anastrea.”
“Oh, right. No wonder I thought I’d seen her somewhere before…”
“So, the redheaded girl was the one from that time.
Finally, Kein realized that the Saint’s friend, the red-haired girl, was the one he had given the Fruit of Resurrection.
‘Well, I’m glad to see that she was able to save her comrades.’
“It’s because of Kein-sama that I can be here like this.”
“But it was up to her as to what she should do with what I gave her. I think the one who really helped you was that girl who was trying so hard.”
“That’s not all. I’ve been watching Kein-sama for a long time.”
Sephiria’s tone was faltering a little again.
However, Kein could see that she wanted to tell him something important.
Even though she’s a saint, she seemed to be quite naive, not to mention she was still at a young age.
Kein bent down a bit and smiled, wondering if he should just listen to her like he would with a shy child.
“Kein-sama is a man who endured hardships, always staying humble, always looking out for others, never conceited. It was that pure goodness that saved the church and the village from their plight.”
“No, that…eh, Why are you taking your clothes off?!”
As she talked, Sephiria suddenly began to take off her white robe.
“I-It’s not alright. What happened to the commandments of Odia?”
Saint Sephiria in her silk underwear.
Maybe because it was a high-quality fabric, but it was faintly transparent.
“This is necessary for the ceremony of the covenant. Even the commandments allow it. Kein-sama only needs to take his top off. Please get naked.”
“Are you going to get naked?”
After all, Sephiria speaks with a lively voice only when she spoke as a cleric.
While wondering why he needed to take it off, but for some reason feeling unable to resist, Klein stripped his armor and jacket.
However, he never turned towards Sephiria.
The other party was only 13 years old…
After all, when he saw those breasts, larger than the average adult, he couldn’t help but see her as a woman, even if he thought of her as a child.
That growth is a bit too ridiculous, isn’t it?
“I’m sorry. Our pledges require us to be as close to each other’s hearts as possible…”
She hugged him from behind.
Something soft, elastic hit my back.
“Kein-sama. Calm your mind as much as you can and focus on it.”
That’s not possible!
…Is what he wanted to say, but it seemed the situation wouldn’t end without him focusing.
“I’ll see what I can do.”
“Kein-sama, your heart is beating very hard. But it’s okay. I’ve never done something like this either, so I’m flustered as well.”
“I don’t think this is going to be alright.”
“We just need to synchronize our heartbeats. Please calm down and accept me into you. I’ll match your breathing, Kei-sama.”
As he was told, Kein felt Sephiria’s breath and tried to match it with his own.
Sephiria also matched Kein’s breathing.
Naturally, they overlapped each other, and quickly their thumping, high-pitched heartbeat was the only sound in the quiet room.
Soon, Kein felt something warm flowing out of Sephiria.
‘I see a small light beyond the darkness with my eyes closed.’
A voice called for Kein from a distance.
The voice did not belong to Sephiria.
“…Altena? It’s really Altena!”
Kein’s childhood friend.
The voice was indeed that of Altena, the girl who died defending Kein twenty years ago.
