Marry a Vampire - Chapter 28
Chapter 28 I am really not afraid
Three heads, six arms, feet upright, huh, la la la, wow wow—
The 184th. Ah, it’s finally over! Wah!
Momo stood at the door and handed out the last dumpling. The lone army finished the battle and looked up at the wall clock. It was already 1am, in the middle of the night. She didn’t notice when Yun Zhaoyin carried Ling’er back with her being sound asleep, it wasn’t 11pm yet and Na Ze already went back to his room. Momo knocked on the door to make him come out to help her. He only looked at her with a pale face for a long time until there was a reaction. Momo was so scared that she hurriedly pushed him back into the room because she didn’t let him not let him sleep during the day!
The kitchen was in a mess and he stumbled into the bath. Momo felt that all her bones were unraveling, she didn’t listen to her call. He grabbed the bathing bottle three times before managing to grab it and only three times did he successfully press out the liquid solution.
When she finished her bath in a slow progessive manner, it was already an hour. When she was about to climb into bed and enjoy a 360-degree massage from the bed quilt, she suddenly exclaimed and patted her head in annoyance. She almost forgot about the gift she had for Na Ze!
It took her a whole week’s time to weave it out. Momo turned over the scarf under the pillow and laid flat on it. She admired it with her own self-satisfaction, with the bottom of the purple-colored and the edge of the silver-colored. The cold color had a match towards elegance. She remembers Ling’er’s efforts to weave twelve different kinds of color into the scarf, the fairy-like clouds floating in the fairy clothes will be surrounded by a colorful scarf. Momo couldn’t help but laugh, she has a kind heart but she didn’t instigate him!
Momo put away the scarf and decided to send gifts when the others are sleeping like Santa Claus. Who knew that Na Ze who rarely cooperated and went to bed at night today! She turned over a stocking that wasn’t worn before in the closet and tucked the scarf inside. But it ended up that the stockings grew longer, she stood up and squeezed the seal tightly, dragging it to the ground for a long length. It’s okay, just drag it. Momo tossed it twice without minding much about it. Fortunately, she opened Na Ze’s protective window for ventilation during the day. So, she would just climb into his room through the balcony connecting the two rooms together. She would just tie the scarf to the end of his bed.
She clenched her fist and gave herself a cheering posture, Momo took a deep breath, held up the scarf and jumped out of the window carefully. The moonlight outside was lined with the snow all over the place and it felt very bright and clear, it reflected her shadow. Momo looked at the shadow on the wall reflected for a long time and nodded fiercely. Doing something big, being sincerely indulgent. She knelt her legs down and laid on the snow, brushing along the floor-to-ceiling windows and climbed under Na Ze’s window.
Climbing slowly up the carved fence, Momo kneeled halfway on the ground, gently opened the protective window and reached out to pick up the thin silk curtains, leaving a layer of velvet curtains on the floor. Haha, victory is in sight. Momo made a naughty smile. If it wasn’t for the socks in her mouth, maybe she would now stuck out her tongue and made a grimace to celebrate her heroine’s action in the first battle.
Holding her breath, Momo used the other hand to hook the sliding velvet curtain. The velvet was not as silky, it was slippery and thick with heaviness. She finally caught the crease with two fingers and slowly pulled it apart. The moonlight gradually illuminates. Momo wriggled up two steps on her knees, her legs became wet and she knelt down on the carpet of the room, as she poked her head out of the gap between the curtains. She had not made a tour but she was already elated, her smile condensed on her face.
The dark room with the bed as the center, revealed a more strange blackened light, so that everything is clearly visible. The place where it meets the moonlight actually reflects a little silver-colored time, it gathers or disperses. Naze’s purple and blue plaid pajamas were half faded and his whole body was curled up. The short hair had somehow become a bunch of tangled long hair, half floating in the air.
Momo’s mind flashed through various scenes of martial arts fictional heroes. She suddenly didn’t know what to do, did they have superb skills or they were possessed by the devil? She hesitated for a long time and yet she was still worried. The curled arc was too much, so she moved forward halfway on her stomach, spit out her sock and cried out tentatively, “Na Ze, Na Ze?!”
Na Ze heard her cries and moved, the dark-colored of the surrounding light slowly shrank back and she also changed from huddling to lying flat. Just when Momo wanted to crawl over and take a look, his whole body floated and rotated in the obscure light until he was standing unconsciously. At this time, Na Ze closed his eyes and floated halfway in the air. His face was strangely pale with sharp fangs protruding from his blood-red lips. His slightly open fingers had sharp nails and a layer of back had a half transparent black-colored wings trembling slightly, making his black-colored long hair flutter which added on an unreal feeling.
Facing the unfamiliar Na Ze, Momo didn’t know how to react at all, so she looked up at him like this with her eyes flickered, until there was a tingling pain in her knees that had been painful for a long time. She lowered her head subconsciously, under the white-colored moonlight, there was a blood red around the place where she knelt…is this? Momo stretched out her finger to scrape the blood on the ground. Who knew that the finger that just touched the ground, she immediately felt the traces of blood being pumped away, this is her blood!
She used her sleeves to wipe the blood on the floor in panic, but she wiped it more and more. No, not like this, she had to stand up, she would be fine after standing up. Momo comforted herself while panicking, chasing and trying to pull the curtains. When she stood up, she felt unsteady and with a thump, she knelt down again.
Na Ze heard the voice and opened his eyes violently. The blood red-colored eyes seemed to sweep around without any human emotion, so he was fixed on the Momo kneeling on the ground, indifferent and alienated. It felt like the embodiment of the dark night. At that moment, being watched with such eyes, Momo’s heart was not fearful, but with kindness as he was looking at her.
Momo tried to calm down her chaotic emotions and took a deep breath. The pain made her unconsciously pinch her palms with her nails, and then she easily opened her five fingers to grab the curtains around her. She was still looking at Na Ze, he stared at himself, his eyes red and black alternated, and the vortex of black around him gradually slowed down and his eyes became gentle. Momo loosened her biting lip and tried to spread a sweet smile. She didn’t know what happened to him, but she knew that he was working hard not to hurt her. Therefore, she has to stand up, stand beside him, and stand where she belongs.
She fell, climbed, fell again, and climbed again. When Momo finally stood leaning against the wall, the black-colored vortex around Naze disappeared, and his eyes turned back into purple-colored. He stiffly walked in front of Momo, kneeling straight on the ground, half hugging her. Momo picked up the scarf that had been tucked in her arms and pulled it hard, the blood was left with the palm of his hand, reflecting the purple color. The scarf was more vivid, and his hands were raised, carefully around his neck to help him wrap the scarf.
Na Ze looked up gently at her movements, and the originally fluttering black hair gradually fell, his eyes from doubting to clear. He reached out to help her wipe off the cold sweat from the forehead, but he saw his sharp nails and shrank back. His eyes began to panic again. Momo immediately sensed his emotions, trying to grab his retracted hand but was avoided.
Na Ze stood up and stumbled back a few steps. Momo heavily fell to the ground. He didn’t realize it, but he opened the curtain madly and chaotically, as if he wanted to hide behind it. The bright moonlight was born again and it pushed him back.
“Na Ze, I’m fine, don’t be like this,” Momo struggled to get up while holding the curtains, but Na Ze backed away. There were words wanting to be spilled from his mouth. Momo was very familiar with his lip shape, it was a teleportation spell. “You’re not allowed, you’re not allowed to leave, you hear–“
Before the words were finished, Na Ze had disappeared in a daze. Momo stopped breathing for a while, and for a second, she also stumbled to the ground. Her knees were no longer painful, and there were no blood stains around it as if nothing had happened. After that, it was just the half-opened windows occasionally lifting the curtains and letting in the light of moonlight.
The curtain touched her cheek, Momo awakened from her disappointment, ignoring that Na Ze had already left. She was thumping on the ground, shouting out of the window, “You come back to me, Na Ze! Do you hear me, you idiot? I’m not afraid at all, what are you afraid of?! “
