Then in complete abruptness, the animation Pleasant Goat appeared in her mind.
[T/N: children cartoon, feel free to wiki.]
And it just happened to be playing the scene where everyone was escaping from the castle, even the accompanying sound effects were playing in her eyes.
She was a bit dazed.
The system expressed its apologies. “I’ve already tried my best to control it, but it was still of no use. This kind of situation is truly rarely seen.”
Cen Simiao gritted her teeth, this slag.
She closed her eyes and continued, “When I first saw you, I felt…”
But then in that instant, Wolffy’s voice exploded in her ears while in her mind, his face was full of laughter, “Ara, Happy, come with Uncle. I’m so glad to have run into you.”
Cen Simiao suddenly choked.
An Zeru was standing in front of the TV, then seeing that she didn’t continue with her words, his frown grew even deeper, and he took the opportunity to book a plane ticket back.
Looking up again, he became stunned.
Listening to the cheerful music, Cen Simiao’s gaze was especially affectionate as her lips moved, “Originally, I had planned to live through this life alone. Having been able to meet you, I was very fortunate.”
Her eyelashes trembled as if she was in the process of recalling. “A long life like this, no matter whether there was someone by my side, still needed to be lived through. Because there are still loved ones around and their love still ever-present, it can’t be replaced by anyone else.”
The longer An Zeru listened, the greater his sense that something was amiss.
Then all of a sudden, he saw Cen Simiao get up from the chair. The coat she wore made her waist appear even thinner by contrast. She started to unbutton it and a touch of white was revealed, but it wasn’t until she took it off that he saw that the other was wearing a wedding dress.
With lace, see-through sleeves and a gauze skirt that seemed to be full starlight, it seemed particularly dreamy. The bodice was also extremely well cut, making her figure appear exquisite.
It was An Zeru’s first time seeing it.
He seemed stunned into a stupor. His eyes stared fixated at the TV and didn’t dare to move away for even a second. His palms were inexplicably damp while his heart was beating extremely fast.
Cen Simiao curved her lips and asked in a soft voice, “How does it look?”
As if she had received an answer, her smile became even happier as she tilted her head to glance at the lens of the camera, her eyes appearing particularly alluring.
She opened her mouth and said, “In this life, I appeared only for you.”
An Zeru’s Adam’s apple bobbed. He felt his heart fill up and become full, so full that it was about to explode. He hated how he couldn’t immediately go back and pull her into a tight embrace.
Cen Simiao lowered her eyes and saw the scene where Happy had jumped right into the large cauldron, where he anxiously tried to think of a way to escape. And so she found it even more difficult to bear. Moreover, she was also a bit out of breath, leading her to cry even more bitterly in her heart.
“You are the meaning of my existence. You are very important to me.”
An Zeru was again taken aback and went to stare at her face. Even after looking at it for a long time, all he saw was still only sincerity. He snorted and cursed in a low voice, “Trying to f*ck*ng deceive me again, only fools would believe it.”
Cen Simiao pursed her lips and restrained her expression, then looked at the camera with unprecedented seriousness. “Live well, one’s life’s bound to have a lot of passersby. So family is the foremost important thing. Accompany them well and you will have your own happiness.”
She lowered her eyes and thought of that family in that world, then clenched her fist.
Seeing that her complexion was becoming worse and worse, An Zeru suddenly started to panic, but again heard the words she had said and couldn’t help but yell at the TV, “Stop talking such f*ck*ng nonsense, what crooked schemes are you hatching again!”
But as soon as his words fell, he saw Cen Simiao cough a few times until she wasn’t even able to catch her breath.
He was about to immediately walk out when he heard something from the TV again. An Zeru continued his hurried steps but gave it a glance, then suddenly his body completely froze. She had fallen to the ground, then the broadcast simply went dark.
He was frozen in place.
The funeral was held very ceremoniously. An Zeru participated in the name of her husband, his attire made him seem spirited while his expression was also normal. While there was sadness in his eyes, it was not one of depression.
The cause of Cen Simiao’s death was something that many people had wondered about, along with why she had run off to the TV station before she passed. But these were all directly dismissed by An Zeru with only one sentence: “It’s none of your d*mn business.”
He became more mature, and his hours working also lengthened. But he also paid extreme attention to his body and health, getting together with others to climb mountains whenever he had time.
One couldn’t see any abnormality from him.
Lu Mi originally thought that the other was only covering it up, but later An Zeru directly asked him to help introduce him to people. Lu Mi was stunned for quite a long time before he dryly confirmed it once again.
At that moment, An Zeru was planning a program and couldn’t bother to look up as he yawned. “Nonsense, remember the face should be good and the body should be hot.”
Lu Mi pursed his lips as he felt something unspeakable in his heart, but could only sigh that humans are fickle.
And it turned out, he really did know a girl, who was good everywhere but just had a high standard. Just a slight mention of her to An Zeru and he directly agreed to a meeting without any further words.
At a café.
An Zeru was dressed very casually, displaying a sense of cynicism, but in the past two years, he had truly matured a little, which could be seen from his eyes. When these two kinds of temperament appeared together in the same person, inexplicably, it added a hint of charm.
With raised eyebrows, he praised: “Lao Lu really actually knows such a beautiful girl.”
The woman sat with a gentle smile when she suddenly saw him narrowed his eyes, pulling out a pack of cigarettes before looking to see that they were in the smoking area. Right as she was about to say that she didn’t mind smoking, she heard: “Do you smoke?”
And so it busted, didn’t work out.
An Zeru didn’t get discouraged at all and continued to meet several more. But they all fell through. It was all either he felt that their face wasn’t good enough or their voice didn’t sound good. One of the reasons that left Lu Mi completely speechless was that the other said a certain girl’s laugh was too sincere.
So he simply just threw off this 258-wan.
[T/N: 258-wan is used to refer to those with financial resources and social status, in particular those that tend to be arrogant because they have these things. But honestly, I don’t get this line: 他索性，直接找了个拽的二五八万的.]
Smokes. Would make you want to sp*nk them when they laugh. Especially good at bluffing people.
An Zeru pulled out a pack of cigarettes. She spread open her palm, tilted her head, and whistled at him. “Give me one.”
He drooped his lashes and threw one over before lighting another for himself, then heard her say, “Lend me a flame.”
He threw the lighter over, and she conveniently tossed it into the garbage can before she stood up and walked towards him with the cigarette held in her mouth. An Zeru stood up with a ‘swish’.
An Zeru looked down as a trace of vulnerability suddenly flashed through his eyes, and then he mockingly laughed, “She’s wrong.”
Where would he still be able to find happiness, she just simply has no conscience.
When he went to the cemetery, An Zeru didn’t bring any flowers. Instead, he lit a few cigarettes and placed them in front while he smoked one himself as he mumbled to himself.
“Was there a f*ck*ng problem with your brain? If you knew you were going to die, why didn’t you come on the business trip with me…”
“Even running to the TV station to cause trouble, do you know how much of a mess I had to clean up?”
“Even went to tell me to live well. What f*ck*ng nonsense, you thought I would go commit suicide for you?”
Half of the cigarette was already burned away and he gave it a shake for the ashes to fall. He then stood back up straight, raised his chin, and frowned, but then relaxed it again. “I haven’t been idle at all recently. I’ve made appointments with several girls, each one prettier than the previous.”
“Who the h*ll would still care about you.”
